ARISE fishers/hse

ARISE FISHERS/HSE IS a partnership BETWEEN SEVERAL AREA CHURCHES & HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN SCHOOLS.

ARISE Fishers/HSE is hosted at Trinity Church Olio Road Campus

ELIGIBILITY

Any student grade 9-12 at either school is eligible to attend unless they are called in by a teacher for academic purposes. Yes, even 9th & 10th graders at HSE and 9th graders at FHS are able to attend if they complete registration. Students with a completed registration on file will be marked "present" at Arise and will receive full attendance credit as if they were still at school.

TRANSPORTATION

Arise provides free school bus transportation to any student to/from each High School, or students may transport themselves.

If you need transportation from FHS: Our bus will be parked right outside the CCA entrance. You may get on our bus as soon as 7th block ends (1:31pm). Our bus will leave promptly at 1:39 pm to head to HSE, then Arise.
If you need transportation from HSE: Our bus will arrive to door #1 (the bus entrance by the flagpole) around 1:45pm. Once 7th block ends, you can hang out by door #1 for a few minutes until our bus arrives!
If you need a ride back to school: Students may also take our bus back to their respective schools after Arise. Students will be back in the building by 3:00 pm so they can catch their ride home, or attend after-school sports/clubs/programs!

SCHEDULING

Fishers High School: Arise takes place during Block 8 (TI) anytime Silver Day lands on a Wednesday from September 2026 - May 2027.

HSE High School: Arise takes place during Block 8 (LION) anytime Gray Day lands on a Wednesday from September 2026 - May 2027.

SCHOOL SUPPORT

Arise leadership meets regularly with HSE School Administration to ensure Arise aligns fully with the intent of HSE schools to see students in our community thrive. HSE and Fishers High School leadership have provided a consent form to be used by parents and students who wish to attend Arise. Arise is responsible for providing attendance records to the schools. Attendance at Arise is credited to the student as attendance at school.

LEGALITY

Arise is 100% legal and authorized. We are a released time program that abides by Indiana Code 20-33-2-19. Released time honors the doctrine of separation of church and state by adhering to the guidelines established by the U.S. Supreme Court decision Zorach v. Clauson (1952). Released time programs across the country honor three basic guidelines:

The program must take place off school grounds.
No taxpayer funding may be used.
Student attendance is completely voluntary with written parental consent.
